Encouraged.

“Remember, man does not live on bread alone: sometimes he needs a little buttering up.”John C. Maxwell.

I’ve been encouraged alot recently. Starting from Central Vision Night itself, from the below post, you can see the medal over there, the Never-Say-Die Energizer. It doesn’t give me bragging rights or anything but I really want to share it cause of its value behind the metal plate. I didn’t expect this one bit. It was unexpected to me. As someone who expects the unexpected, well, was really surprised. I thank God for the wonderful encouragement. This encourages me that people around me are seeing what I’m doing, and they are believing in me during this run.

Second of all, Central A won the Acts Church Award. As a whole, it means alot. Encouragements are there as form of RECOGNISATION towards someone. And this is another one. Recognising the unit as a whole. I’m gonna work towards this, being the Act church, as my future caregroup/unit comes to past. It has and will be done.

As the quote states already. We do not only work in this ministry as ministry alone. We need those little tiny bits of encouragements around us that help us to really taste the full meaning of serving the Kingdom. And I have just got my butter few days ago.

Before Central WFL on Monday, we had the Central A Prayer Meet! That’s when 3 encouragements came in together. All from the one who heard and answered.

1. An analogy of a door
(When I typed this, I thought of a better way of describing it rather than just writing it.)

A door stands before me
And I got curious so I pushed
And the door just stood still
I continued pushing
Nothing was happening
I questioned then
“Why isn’t it moving?”
The Voice replied
“I gave you a task
To push against this door
I didn’t say
You would open this door
But now therefore
During this day
I will open the door
You are ready
For what’s behind
Receive fully
This child of mine.”
I looked at myself
I’ve grown so much
The door opened
A flood arose
Not just any flood
But one of blessings deep and wide
So much that I received till I cried
“Thank You.”

2. Analogy of an Immovable Rock

It’s a story that was reminded to me. The story of how this guy was called by a voice one day to push against this rock that the voice put at the door of his house. This guy kept pushing against the rock and there seemed to be no progress at all. The voice of evil told him to give up, yet he persisted. Yet after awhile he asked the voice of truth, “Why am I pushing a rock that isn’t budging one bit?”. The voice simply replied,“I’ve told you to push this rock, yes. However I have never told you that you would be the one who will move this rock. Now that you’ve grown, I will move it aside.”. The guy looked at himself, wow, muscles. He was ready for the harvest.
(I had to rush through this story because I have 6mins left on the comp. before my mom kills me. (: )

3. The Vision of Maris Stella

I received a vision of Nexus Auditorium. How there was me, Peida, Yuliang & Desmond on a Saturday. They converted, and next week we saw 2 new converts brought by those two. Then there was 6. After that, those 2 brought 2 each, 4. All 4 converted, then that made 10. The next 4 brought in 1 each, that equals to 14. I saw two green rows fill up. This continued till 22. And the next quarter’s Central Vision Night, I saw 32 Marists. Wow. Exciting. 32 not just numbers, but LIVES that were CHANGED. Truly the work of God.

I can’t talk much. Mom’s complaining. CONTINUE AGAIN TOMORROW! (:

yup, i’m here to butter you up (:
it’s true, serving in a ministry w/o ppl encouraging me, it’s really really scary, gonna do things w/o emotional support, awww, that’s just so sad (: hehe, yay, so we shd use our gift of encouragement to build ppl up, strongly believe that there’s just alot of ppl out there who really need encouragements in one form or another (:

DAVID, wanna challenge ya to be this blessing to the world out there (:
